If you want to be successful... don't sleep??

I never really believed that you need to sacrifice healthy sleep for a successful career. Several studies have shown that sleep deprivation will cause more long term (and short term) negative health affects then getting the desired amount of sleep. But how, if we do not compromise sleep, do we get the most out of our day??

    I just came across this article or interview rather from the founder of Spanx, Sara Blakely on entrepreneur.com . It's a great read! She has some great points and insight Specifically I like her journal with 99 pages of business ideas. As creators... we never stop do we? I also love her point about knowing your weakness and not trying to spend time doing that. I hate invoicing and accounting so why should I spend time on that? I will never do it as well as someone who loves or specializes in that. As a creator in a start up you do need to an exceptional amount of things by yourself, but the most efficient and effective way is what Liz discusses, bring an expert in and stay in your lane! Excerpt: " Stay in your lane -- how so?  Like, wake up every day with What am I good at? What am I contributing to the world?  I identified very early on what my contributions to Spanx should be: to invent, market, sell. So if I’m spending too much time sitting with lawyers or in finances, a little radar goes off. I ask , Why? Is it because I don’t have the right people or talent? So I encourage people to delegate and hire where you aren’t strong.     We all use different tools for our businesses to be most efficient. My favorite tool is coffee! Ok, and my computer. What are yours?
